With the help of a teacher from the UNRWA Disability Center, six families in need were selected in Baqa’a Palestinian refugee camp to each receive a box of food supplies.
Two of the families were visited in their own homes where it was really clear to see how little they have. In fact, it’s hard to comprehend how they manage to make ends meet, even when it comes to very basic necessities.
Small mishap for the STEPS team outside the Disability Center as the car developed a flat tire. But watching the resourcefulness of the locals who came to the rescue and replaced the tire right in the middle of the overcrowded street was a remarkable and rewarding experience!
