STEPS wishes to thank John Davidson for his offer to demonstrate a fascinating – though unusual – teaching method, known as The Silent Way.

Yarmouk Cultural Center offered the location and a number of their English teachers were interested to participate. Book Loop helped with logistics and promoting the event.

Everyone was intrigued by this new approach of passing on information without verbal communication, created in the 1960’s by Egyptian educator and mathematician Caleb Gattegno. Find out more about it on wikipedia at the link below.
