STEPS organized a Let’s Read / يلا نقرأ program sponsored by the Friends of Jordan society in the village of Ghor Fifa in the Southern Jordan Valley two hours away from Amman.
Over 30 children were invited to take part in lively sessions of reading and games led by STEPS volunteers.
A library equipped with over 120 age-appropriate books was donated to the local youth club, from which children will have the chance to borrow both storybooks and interesting volumes of general knowledge.
The program was successful as a launch for the library, as well as to increase the children’s curiosity and desire to learn.
