Rescued Quality Food for the Poor

This month the Family Kitchen initiative delivered 1,200 meals to the poor from clean untouched leftover food collected from hotels and restaurants. At the delivery stations, families bring their pots and pans – or any containers they have available – and get served portions according to the number of people in their households.

Food packages were also distributed this month, containing basics such as rice, flour, sugar, canned goods, pasta and milk powder.

Photos show recipients at an indoor distribution place (in Manara) and others where meals are distributed outdoors (in a village near Madaba), as well as some of the houses we came across during our deliveries.
