Saturday Trip at The Lettuce and the Fish Restaurant

The Lettuce and the Fish, a cozy restaurant in Abdoun, opened its doors to eight children from Jabal Nuzha for a look behind the scenes to see how a restaurant kitchen operates —  including watching the chef in action, visiting the food prep room and the storage facilities. The children later enjoyed a Chinese meal, which introduced them to new foods and flavors. They tried their hand at using chopsticks for the first time, which was great fun, as well as learned a few facts and figures about China and Japan. Thank you to The Lettuce and The Fish for making it possible and for manager Adel’s patient teaching. Thank you also to volunteers Hedaia, Michael, Ala’, Range and Ayser for interacting with the children, organizing, supervising, taking photos.
