During our sixth follow up visit for the Yalla Niqra / ‘Let’s Read’ initiative, we returned to the Bank of Healing and Health society in Ruseifeh in the Zarqa governorate.
Children eagerly showed us their assignments in their notebooks and spoke to everyone about their favorite books. The sign-out book showed that children had already borrowed library books 54 times since the launch, less than two months ago! After a session of paper-cutting and card-making the children received prizes of kites and dollies, as well as chocolate treats kindly provided by Canary Confectionery Factory.
Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation’s 2018 grant is the main sponsor of the Yalla Niqra / ‘Let’s Read’ initiative and deserve great credit for helping to promote the joy of reading all around the country! The STEPS volunteers that day were Luzan and Mahmoud. Well done, team!
