A group of 10 children from I Have a Dream Society in Wahdat refugee camp were invited to another Teddy Bear Clinic event at Istishari Hospital in Amman. The children spent an exciting couple of hours discovering what doctors do during a patient’s visit. Each one had received a teddy bear who served as their ‘patient’.

The 8-10 year-old boys and girls visited various stations which had been labeled as Waiting Room, Registration, Triage, Treatment, Lab, X-rays, Pharmacy, etc. Each child recorded his/her teddy bear’s vital signs in a colorful Passport. The activity ended with a healthy lunch and take-home gifts for all.

STEPS would like to thank the various departments of Istishari Hospital for their great cooperation. Thank you also to the participating STEPS volunteers.

Special credit goes to pediatrician Dr. Hana’ Damra for her creativity in preparing this tremendously fun and educational program.
