STEPS fifth Al Fawanees iftar event this year was held at the International Community School and hosted 100 children from neighboring poor families. It was great to have representatives from Bank al Etihad, the evening’s sponsor, come to help and interact with the children.
Author Taghreed Najjar of Al Salwa Books shared some of her fun stories. Then everyone participated in sports and games on the green field, before the catered iftar meal and ice cream. Gifts of scooters were distributed to all. The event was a very special treat for these less fortunate children.
