During the Christmas season, STEPS organizes and distributes food packages to families in need. This year, as well as Jordanian and Syrian families, we were able to reach out to some of the Iraqi refugees who are spending their second Christmas away from home.
The packages included basic foods, festive items and a supermarket coupon. Families with children received a gift-wrapped scooter. Some of the families who are facing additional hardships also received money for rent.
The food package and extra financial support were greatly appreciated during the holiday season, bringing a little bit of joy and celebration into their lives at Christmastime.
