STEPS organized a Read Aloud activity at a local children’s library in Mafraq governorate to mark the 2014 World Read Aloud Day.

The event was attended by more than 30 girls from the neighboring Umm Al Jimal primary school and promoted the importance of visiting the library and reading for fun and discovery.

There was a quiz about Arab countries, based on the book ‘I am an Arab and this is my Country’ by Huda Al Nashef.

We also spent some time looking at various maps available at the library, making sure students could find their location within the governorate.

Thank you to our volunteers, friends and sponsors who helped make this activity possible.
