The first of three Let’s Read events made possible by a generous donor took place today. The beneficiaries were a great group of kids in the Jordan Valley at the Holy Rock Charitable Society in Deir Alla.

The society received a collection of 125 attractive books, which will be used as a lending library for the many school children there. Two follow up visits will be done in the next few months to check on the progress and assist with any issues. Two more libraries will donated in Baqa’a Camp and Jabal Nuzha.

Special thanks to the donor, as well as to volunteers Luzan and Ghassan for their invaluable help.

The Let’s Read initiative aims to CREATE MORE READERS IN JORDAN by promoting independent book reading among school-age children through lively read-aloud games and activities.
