We are happy to announce that STEPS is starting the setting up of seven libraries in seven Jordanian governorates, a project made possible thanks to Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation’s 2018 grant as the main sponsor under the title of Yalla Niqra / ‘Let’s Read’. The first of these libraries was launched today at the Anjara Charity Association in the northern governorate of Ajloun.
Forty-five enthusiastic children attended the reading activities led by six STEPS volunteers, while a wooden bookcase filled with over 160 Arabic children’s books was donated to the society. The books will be available as a lending library, offering both fiction and educational resources, and aim to promote the joy of reading for pleasure.
