STEPS helped to organize an Elixir Mime workshop with Curtis Peter Van Gorder at the University of Jordan drama department. In cooperation with STEPS, children in Anjara (Ajloun) had a visit from The Alchemist Lab, where they learned about Newton’s Third Law of Motion: for every action (force) in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction. This was demonstrated by the balloon ‘rockets’ the children made, which ran along a piece of string and were propelled by the balloon deflating. Eight boys from Wahdat Camp received eye checks in Mukhtar Mall courtesy of Optikos Shami, followed by an afternoon of bowling courtesy of Bowling City. This was followed by a lunch donated by Lebnani Snack. The boys had lots of fun and learned new skills. Children from Al Ghaith Charitable Society in Hay Nazzal went to the Traffic Garden in Tla Al Ali (Amman) where the staff taught them important tips about road safety. 40 Syrian children, including two injured in the war, were invited to a fun and educational outing at the Children’s Museum. Thank you to volunteer Carolin for organizing the event and to Basha’ir Al Khair Society for their participation.
