STEPS helped to organize an Elixir Mime workshop with Curtis Peter Van Gorder at the University of Jordan drama department. Elixir Mime Visits the Book Loop Club

Elixir Mime is an interactive workshop facilitated by Curtis Peter van Gorder who has presented successful workshops teaching mime and drama to both hearing and deaf participants in Europe, Africa and India. Children Learn Newton’s Law of Motion

In cooperation with STEPS, children in Anjara (Ajloun) had a visit from The Alchemist Lab, where they learned about Newton’s Third Law of Motion: for every action (force) in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction. This was demonstrated by the balloon ‘rockets’ the children made, which ran along a piece of string and were propelled by the balloon deflating. FUNDAY with Children from Wahdat Camp

Eight boys from Wahdat Camp received eye checks in Mukhtar Mall courtesy of Optikos Shami, followed by an afternoon of bowling courtesy of Bowling City. This was followed by a lunch donated by Lebnani Snack. The boys had lots of fun and learned new skills. Fun Science in Anjara (Ajloun)

The Alchemist Lab team in cooperation with STEPS presented more fun science experiments at the Maktabati library in Anjara (Ajloun). FUNDAY at the Traffic Garden

Children from Al Ghaith Charitable Society in Hay Nazzal went to the Traffic Garden in Tla Al Ali (Amman) where the staff taught them important tips about road safety. Children’s Museum Visit for 40 Refugee Children

40 Syrian children, including two injured in the war, were invited to a fun and educational outing at the Children’s Museum. Thank you to volunteer Carolin for organizing the event and to Basha’ir Al Khair Society for their participation. The visit to the museum was enhanced by the use of quiz question sheets specially prepared by the volunteers, with prizes given to the winning teams.
