During their vacation break 16 orphan girls from the Beit Miriam society in Hashemi Shamali were treated to a lovely lunch in Abdoun. Imparting Respect for All God’s Creatures

A big thank you to the Humane Center for Animal Welfare (HCAW) for another GREAT day of fun, creativity and learning. Nineteen children from Talbieh refugee camp were invited for a repeat visit to the HCAW center. Christmas Angel 2014

We would like to thank our generous donors for sponsoring large packages of food and gifts for families in need this Christmas. Over 120 families were reached, some of whom were facing their first Christmas here, after fleeing from their hometowns in Iraq due to ISIS. Alchemist Lab Hosts Refugee Children

Developing children’s curiosity is crucial, even in their times of hardship, and is one of the aims of the FUNDAY initiative. STEPS made arrangements for 25 Syrian refugee children to visit The Alchemist Lab, where they had a fun 90 minute science session. The children enjoyed discovering some of the properties of air and of unusual states of matter, learning about recycling and doing arts and crafts to demonstrate balance. Christmas FUNDAY at the Dead Sea

Many thanks to the management team of Dead Sea Spa Hotel who welcomed a group of Iraqi refugee children for an amazing Christmas lunch. Six orphan girls visited a hair salon in Sweifieh to learn about hair cutting and styling, facial massage, cosmetics and beauty tips. This was followed by lunch and eye tests to check everyone’s vision. 100 Youth Meet Mountain Climber Mostafa Salameh

One hundred young people and volunteers from various charitable societies in and around Amman had the chance to draw inspiration from Mostafa Salameh, the first Jordanian to conquer Mt. Everest. Twenty one children from Talbieh Camp (in Zizieh near Amman) enjoyed a visit to the Humane Center for Animal Welfare on Airport Road, which provides veterinary care and animal adoption services. The Lettuce and the Fish, a cozy restaurant in Abdoun, opened its doors to eight children from Jabal Nuzha for a look behind the scenes to see how a restaurant kitchen operates.
